Program:  Sharon Zigrossi - Garden Hubcaps

December 12, 2013

Sharon Zigrossi, a Dallas County Master Gardener and Preston Hollow resident, began her career several years ago when she saw a wheel cover leaning against the side of her garage and envisioned it as a finished piece of garden art.  She began by thoroughly cleaning and prepping the hubcap, next covering it with layers of acrylic paint and lastly adding embellishments such as rhinestones, mirror glass and beads and turned it into a work of art. Neighbors and friends soon requested she decorate hubcaps for them and so she began selling them as “Blooming Hubcaps”.
